Are you missing out on enjoying the full Hilton Head experience?

September Issue

Have you discovered the natural and historic beauty of the sea islands? Have you explored Calibogue or Port Royal Sounds, or gone swimming in Mackay Creek near Pinckney Island?

Have you ever wanted to see our island home from the sea? In August of 1663, Captain William Hilton spotted the Island. It was named in his honor, with an emphasis on the headlands visible from offshore. From the water, you can imagine what Captain Hilton saw. It is no wonder this Island, the surrounding barrier islands, and the area’s waters were of such strategic importance to the earliest explorers. Enjoy the display put on by dolphins and various water birds and enjoy all the Lowcountry has to offer.
