Our Australia to Honolulu cruise on the Celebrity Edge

I’ve always enjoyed sailing, boating and water events but an 18 day (11 of which were at sea)trans Pacific cruise is no game. 20 foot seas made a toy out of the 1000+ foot long and 130,000 ton ship, with side levers. It took us a few days and calmer waters to stop the dremamine(sp). That aside the trip was an amazing experience. Since a picture is worth 1000 words, here are only a small percentage of the photos I/we took for sharing

Honoring the Life of Susie Knight

Dear HHPYC Members,

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of our fellow member and friend, Susie Knight, who passed away earlier this week.

Susie was a cherished part of our club for 26 years. Alongside her husband, past Commodore Bill Knight, she contributed invaluably to the vibrancy and strength of our community. She will be remembered for her warmth, adventurous spirit, and the lasting impact she made on those around her.

This Wednesday, 4/22. celebrate Earth Day with sandy feet, salty air, and a little good old-fashioned planet-loving action. Join us for an Earth Day Beach Sweep at Hickory Forest Beach from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

We’ll be teaming up with the Outside Foundation to help keep one of our beautiful shoreline spaces clean, healthy, and thriving for wildlife, neighbors, and future beachgoers.

Good news: Supplies will be provided, so all you need to bring is yourself, a friend, and maybe your best “I care about the planet” smile.
