Guest Speaker Steve Gammarino
Steve is currently the Flotilla Commander for the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Hilton Head/Bluffton Flotilla. It is a 51- member volunteer unit of the USCG Auxiliary. The Coast Guard Auxiliary has 21,000 members and is the uniformed civilian component of the US Coast Guard. The Hilton Head/Bluffton Flotilla supports the local USCG units to include Station Tybee – Surface Operations and Aids to Navigation team and the Savannah Air Station by performing joint training exercises, search and rescue and safety and security patrols. The Flotilla also provides the local community with safe boating classes, vessel safety checks and safe boating educational material. Steve is certified by the USCG to provide vessel safety checks and serve as boat crew.
