From early days racing on Long Island Sound to four transatlantic crossings, 26 Newport–Bermuda races, and elite international competitions including the Fastnet Race and America’s Cup campaigns, Jim’s experiences offer a rare window into both the triumphs and realities of offshore sailing.
Blending storytelling with insight, Jim will share personal accounts of ocean racing—its victories, close calls, and unforgettable moments—alongside the practical side of seamanship.
